Guitar legend Eric Clapton and his band have added 2024 tour dates in the UK and Ireland. The six-date tour will begin on May 9, 2024, at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle. It will then proceed to Liverpool, Birmingham, and Dublin, concluding with two shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London on May 20 and 21.
Tickets for the Dublin show will be available from Ticketmaster, while tickets for all other performances can be obtained through Bookings Direct. Sales will commence on June 9, 2023.
Warner Records will release The Definitive 24 Nights, a limited edition boxed set featuring Eric Clapton’s performance at the renowned Royal Albert Hall on June 23.
The limited edition boxed set, The Definitive 24 Nights, will be released on June 23, offering 6 CDs or 8 LPs. Both versions include three Blu-ray discs containing the video content, a hardbound book, and an individually numbered lithograph featuring a photograph of Clapton taken by Carl Studna.
The separate concerts, 24 Nights: Rock, 24 Nights: Blues, and 24 Nights: Orchestral, will be released on the same day in various formats, including 2CD+DVD and 3LP for Rock and Orchestral, and 2LP for Blues.
Clapton’s initial performance at the Royal Albert Hall occurred in 1964 as a member of The Yardbirds. Subsequently, he has surpassed all other artists by delivering over 200 performances at this venue. He also holds the record for the most consecutive concerts performed at the venue.
In 1990, he established a record of 18 shows, which he subsequently surpassed the following year by holding 24 concerts. These shows represented Clapton’s most ambitious endeavors.
