The Australian band, The Cat Empire, has revealed tour dates for 2023 to promote their upcoming ninth studio album, Where The Angels Fall. The veteran party band The Cat Empire will go on a tour beginning in September of this year. The record is scheduled to be released on Friday, August 25th, and a few weeks after that the band will go on a tour which will begin in Sydney at the Enmore Theatre on Friday, September 15th.
After stopping in Brisbane, Byron Bay and Adelaide, the group from Melbourne will conclude their tour at the Forum on October 6th in their hometown of Melbourne.
A few of the songs from the new album have been played so far including “Thunder Rumbles”, “Rock & Roll”, and the most recent single “Money Coming My Way.”
“This song has a big tongue in cheek, and in many ways, it harks back to some of the first album antics,” veteran frontman Felix Riebl remarked of the single. “Who among us can pay the cost of living in these modern times? Everything is such an outrageous price!”
Riebl and Ollie McGill are the only original members of the band that are still active. In 2021, the founding group disclosed that they would no longer be working together, with Riebl and McGill continuing the project with new members. These new members were introduced in March of this year, and they are as follows:

- Brass players Ross Irwin and Kieran Conrau
- Drummer Daniel Farrugia
- Percussionist Neda Rahmani
